Flood water removal services recover standing water where a site can be accessed safely. We assess the source and any continuing inflow before choosing the recovery equipment and handling route.

Floodwater hazards and receiving routes
Water can conceal unstable flooring, electrical hazards and sewage contamination.
Safe access during water recovery
Recovery is planned with the site's emergency arrangements, taking account of electrical hazards, unstable surfaces and changing inflow.
Floodwater hazards and receiving routes
Floodwater can contain sewage, oil or process chemicals picked up from affected areas. The contents determine whether tanker recovery or a specifically permitted discharge route is appropriate. A convenient drain or nearby watercourse is not automatically a suitable destination for the pumped liquid.

Safe access during water recovery
Recovery is planned with the site’s emergency arrangements. Electrical hazards, unstable surfaces and changing inflow need to be controlled, and hoses and equipment are kept clear of protected access routes. Contamination controls are based on the assessed contents rather than the water’s appearance.
Water removal, cleaning and repair
We identify the water removed and what remains. Silt, contaminated surfaces and damp building materials may need separate cleaning or drying, and the drainage fault that caused the flooding may still need repair. Pumping alone does not establish that a building is safe to reoccupy or that electrical equipment is safe to use.
Further recovery may be needed while continuing inflow is controlled or the drainage fault is addressed; temporary pumping is kept separate from the repair itself.
Flood Water Removal Services: common questions
Can floodwater always be pumped into a nearby drain?
No. The water contents and authorised receiving route must be checked.
Does pumping leave the building ready to occupy?
Not necessarily. Cleaning, drying and electrical or other safety checks may remain.
What if the water keeps rising?
Continuing inflow and safe access need assessment alongside recovery.
Can floodwater contain chemicals as well as sewage?
Yes. Contamination depends on the areas and processes the water has contacted.
Does pumping fix the original drain fault?
No. Clearance or repair may still be necessary after water removal.
